All jewellery sold by Owens Jewellers is antique, vintage and second-hand. Predominately, all pieces set with diamonds and gemstones are graded with stones in situ and within their original settings. Where stones have not been removed, carat weights are determined by measurement and will not have been weighed. Hand-cut antique and vintage diamonds and gemstones are not uniformly shaped; hence an exact weight cannot be determined by measurement, weights stated are a guide and, unless confirmed as so, will not be an exact weight. If further clarification or guidance is required before a purchase, don’t hesitate to contact us directly.
Certificates and grading report cards for our jewellery are produced by various gemmological laboratories, Owens Jewellers accepts no liability for their absolute accuracy.
